Rating the Ratings: For most of the fall, it looked like Gossip Girl may well be headed for a failing grade in its final season. An ugly 0.4 demo was the norm, and it even got as low as a 0.3 on a couple occasions. But the show got some minor ratings redemption in its last couple episodes, perhaps proving that "Who is Gossip Girl?" was a question that some people actually legitimately wanted answered. Gossip Girl grew to a 0.6 in its penultimate episode and then a reasonably impressive 0.8 for the December 17 finale. That was the best number for the show since April 2011. The CW isn't going to miss the Gossip Girl ratings, but maybe they would have if that audience for the last couple episodes had shown up consistently. Grade: D.
