Rating the Ratings: Once the undisputed king of scripted originals on basic cable, USA Network had a tough 2012 on several fronts. But one of those fronts was not their veteran drama Burn Notice, which was actually a bit of a pleasant surprise last year. Burn Notice was down just 10% in its summer run, while most of USA's summer dramas dropped at least twice as much. Perhaps you could've attributed that to an even better trend out of its Thursday partner Suits, but then Burn Notice had another impressive run on its own in the fall, when it was down just 3%. Despite the positive ratings, Burn Notice is still getting pretty old by cable standards, so its next season will be just 13 episodes. Grade: B.
Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Burn Notice.
