Recent FX Drama Premieres |
1.5 (Justified, 3/16/10) 0.5 (Terriers, 9/8/10) 0.6 (Lights Out, 1/11/11) 1.6 (American Horror Story, 10/5/11) |
I doubt it's as appealing to the FX audience as the clear action/horror angles of Justified and Horror Story from a promotional standpoint. Haven't seen the show, but my gut says the "marriage drama" aspect is not as up the FX alley as those shows were. It may skew kinda old, but I don't really see it being as unappealing as Terriers and Lights Out. So I'm guessing it will be somewhere in the middle of those two clear tiers. But that's a pretty enormous range. I'm just kinda taking a shot in the dark here.
Over/Under: 1.15.

I'm gonna say under.
Damn, I forgot Terriers debuted that low.
I'm looking forward to this, so I hope it does well, but I agree that this doesn't seem like an obvious hit for them. Under.
This is not The Question I expected; I was sure you were going to be asking if Chicago Fire can extend its hot streak (pun intended) since Nashville & CSI are in reruns tonight.
In any event, FX has been pushing this show for weeks/months now. It faces little competition and its dramas tend to premiere better than its sitcoms, Lights Out being the recent exception.
Over.
Was thinking about a Chicago Fire vs. CSI spread for next week. I find it amazing that it's been almost two months since they last faced each other in originals! Will be interesting to see how much things have really changed since then.
Over. 1.2 doesn't seem like a tough hurdle for basic cable anymore.
Under. A 1.0. With growth potential though. But is is a wild guess. I was expecting to see a Chicago Fire question today btw.
Same, I actually had just commented on that as well before reading this. I also think it is incredible that they have been avoiding each other for this long, sort of crazy even.
Toughie. I kinda think Keri Russell's a bankable name from all the people who liked Felicity. At the same time though, it seems like it's a little outside FX's normal ballpark, and that's worrisome to me despite the cool hook.
I'm going to go under. But I do think it will be close.
Been hearing a lot about this one for a while. Sounds intriguing enough, going over.
Under, too weird to catch on
I will go under at .9.
