- Maybe the NBC collapse is coming, but they began 2013 right back on top. A four-episode repeat marathon of Off Their Rockers (1.3 at 8:00, 1.5 at 8:30, 1.6 at 9:00, 1.8 at 9:30) tied or beat the CBS repeats in every half hour and ended up averaging a hair better than the show's original average on Wednesday last spring. Perhaps this bodes well for the show's original return next week. That marathon led into the first big-four original of the year, Parenthood, which was on the low end even though Off Their Rockers ended up being a fairly decent-sized lead-in.
- The rest of the big four was in repeats, with Shark Tank winning the 8:00 hour for ABC. ESPN's Orange Bowl (3.5) won the night, but it was much weaker than the primetime post-Rose Bowl game last year (4.7). The Rose Bowl Game itself (4.7) was down 15% from last year.
