Whitney in 2011-12 | NBC Wednesday 8/7c This Fall |

Whitney ended last season on a decent note relative to its previous results. It was one of the very few 8:00 shows that didn't really seem to get hit by daylight saving time last spring, maintaining its 1.6 level in each of its last couple weeks in late March. And the current NBC lineup at the very least seems more attractive than the Rock Center and Bent-filled March Wednesday lineups in which Whit was managing a 1.6. The show got a decent 2.0 in its last heavily-promoted 8/7c premiere in January (though that was against much less competition). All told, it should have a decent shot to bounce up from what it was getting at the end of last season.
Whitney Over/Under: 1.75.

Under.
Under.
Under, solely due to irrational optimism. I expect to be wrong.
Could see it doing a 1.7 but 1.8..not so much. Under.
Under due to irrational optimism???
I really dislike Whitney and hope it fails lest NBC start developing similar shows.
OK, thanks, just making sure!
Under. Even against a weaker-than-expected X-Factor, I don't think there's enough demo oxygen left for Whitney to gasp at a 1.8.
I'm more curious to see how much audience from last week's Voice-powered Chicago Fire tunes in again this week.
As one of the few Whitney fans on the internet, I want to say over, but there is no way that I see it happening.
Under- 1.6
Spot, can you give us a standings update this weekend?
I am genuinely surprised by the unanimous under votes. It's been heavily promoted and it's a good timeslot, plus it did fine last season facing considerably tougher competition in Idol.
I think the 1.75 over/under is pretty much bang on and if I wasn't clouded by my personal antipathy towards the show then I'd lean over.
Seconded. I'd really like a standings update.
The last time I said under on a comedy that didn't look all that appealing I was right. The time before that time that I did that I got burned. The difference was that that first one was a premiere w/ a reasonably promotable name.
I think I'll just go under. But I'm not wholly confident.
My, this one is difficult. I'm going to say Over.
It's on my to-do list. Will try for this weekend. They were a lot more fun to do when I wasn't getting unanimously beaten every game! :(
I checked the TVMediaInsights game, where most of the reasonable people were saying 1.8ish, and the TVBTN poll where 1.8-1.9 was the most popular guess. Those people are often optimistic but my own prediction was about a 1.7 so I figured this would split it up pretty well. Wrong again!
Under
Everything's been doing so badly lately. As much as I like the show, it's only ever done OK in comparison to other NBC shows, sometimes rising to . I'll say 1.6, which if it dropped to 1.4 would still put it ahead of everything except The Office and the show that follows it. Under
Under, 1.5 - 1.6
Under, a 1.6
Hmmm under :/
