- The yanking of Partners was of only minor help to CBS at 8:30 (where the Two and a Half Men repeat scored a 2.0, actually a bit below what Partners was pulling prior to last week's big drop) and at 9:00 where 2 Broke Girls was up a couple ticks. And the 8:00 and 9:30 comedies actually ticked down.
- The Voice had a really bad night. It was over 10% below its worst Monday results this season, and it seems Dancing with the Stars picked up some of the pieces.

If that's the best a rerun could do, they'd be better off airing what's left of Partners.
No, cause Partners fee costs CBS something like million bucks per episode, while earning roughly same amount from ads. TAAHM repeat get slightly better rating, while costing virtually nothing ... zero dollars directly, though few rating ticks will be lost in summer (when they'll repeat less TAAHM and more of some less watched comedies) .
CBS should cancel Partners already in October, but for some irrational reasons (pride ? ) they waited a bit more.
Cool, now explain Mob Doc for me.
Fox's midseason slate is woefully bare with only Touch and The Following on tap for dramas. And the former is off to Fridays to replace Fringe. So Fox is stuck with The Mob Doctor until they get their promotional machine revved up for The Following to take its place.
Also, airing a rerun of 2.5 Men or TBBT in place of Partners also amortizes the per episode license fee, so it helps keep CBS' costs down and makes the sitcom more affordable.
Well, I explained it already... but it seems some people simply don't understand. Let's try in more words, maybe then it will be easier task.
Fox is not CBS. Fox has no repeats that could hit around 2 (and TBBT even more) . Also, Fox has no bench players ready before January. Ali in all, Fox is in extremely poor state, best shown by being forced to actually air The Mob Doctor during sweeps month.
Other networks would burn such a megabust somewhere. Not Fox, clowns from their brass didn't anticipate need for a long bench despite facts
- since Glee all Fox new dramas bombed and it's like 1-from-9, only Touch getting renewal (pity one though).
- over some period they launched only one stable comedy, New Girl
CBS will have already paid for the 12 filmed episodes of Partners. The unaired episodes will almost certainly be shown on Saturday if previous CBS cancellations are anything to go by.
The only real advantage to TaaHM repeats over airing Partners is that CBS doesn't have to promote it.
I doubt CBS will end up using their full allocation of TaaHM repeats, which is probably why they are repeating it on Monday rather than TBBT.
Lame.
Maybe FOX is just being nice by not pulling it.
