Rating the Ratings: With a longer hiatus coming into the summer season, this summer's run of Wipeout behaved much more like a "traditional" season of Wipeout; stronger earlier in the season, weaker at the end. But unfortunately, at both of those phases it was still a long way from what it was in past summers. The low-1's run at summer's end blew away the previous series low number on several occasions. -20% isn't as bad as last summer, but it's still pretty bad considering it actually started off a little better. It's coming back next summer (with the return of popular sideline reporter Jill Wagner), but at this point it feels like that could be the last gasp. Grade: D+.
