Rating the Ratings: The three straight summers of growth for Big Brother from 2009-11 was one of the most amazing accomplishments on the broadcasters in the last few years. But the streak had to end sometime, and boy did it this summer. The show blew all of that growth and then some, ending up with the lowest average in series history, but from an 18-49+ standpoint it's still about where it was two years ago. I have to give the series a bit of a pass because it was one of the few broadcast shows that had to face the Olympics directly; that appeared to keep the show from picking up steam early in the season as it often does. It'll be back next summer, and no Olympics in 2013 means we can't rule out BB15 getting back into the green. Grade: C-.
Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Big Brother.
