The Question, Friday 9/28/12: Is She Made for Friday?

Tonight brings the last and (by almost all accounts) least of CBS' three drama premieres this week, the legal drama Made in Jersey. Before CBS Friday became a haven for New York City procedurals, it was a place where shows like Joan of Aracdia and Ghost Whisperer with young female leads could exceed their low expectations and run for awhile. They'll try to combine those two trends with Made In Jersey, a New York City procedural with a young female lead! She's made in Jersey, but is she made for the tough Friday landscape? CBS Friday Drama Premieres

1.6 (Miami Medical, 4/6/10) 2.2 (Blue Bloods, 9/24/10) 1.1 (Chaos, 4/1/11) 1.4 (A Gifted Man, 9/23/11)

This is not exactly the kind of top-notch insight you signed up for, but I picked against this show in the fall preview pretty much because I just didn't want to pick all three CBS dramas to succeed. In a vacuum, this seems like the kind of show that could eke out an OK-for-Friday audience. However, the reviews are pretty bad and the fit with the more solemn CSI: NY and Blue Bloods seems less than ideal. Not sure how many Fringe and Grimm viewers would be interested in checking this out, but... they're in the mix too.
