- The Sunday regulars saw big rallies from their against-Olympic numbers, with Big Brother (2.4) hitting its best Sunday numbers this season. NBC got some strong numbers out of the NFL, though this continued the preseason's down year-to-year trend (vs. a 3.7 last year).
- It was also a nice Sunday for cable as the summer slate winds down, with the finales of Falling Skies (1.4) and Political Animals (0.5) both upticking to best-since-premiere numbers. The penultimate True Blood (2.8) and the third-to-last Army Wives (1.2) also did their best numbers since their season premieres.
