Rating the Ratings: This year saw one of primetime's most consistent programs finally take a big downturn. It started in the fall, when Bones got little assistance from a much-smaller-than-expected The X Factor lead-in. The show then aired just one original for the next four months, returning for an ultimately fairly underwhelming Monday run that settled at around a 2.0 demo. Yes, the competition on Monday was pretty brutal, but these still didn't necessarily feel like the kind of ratings that deserved to be leading off the night again in the fall. And yet, with all of Fox's new dramas tanking and House ending, the network was kinda out of options. So Bones will be back in the Monday 8:00 saddle next season leading into newbie The Mob Doctor. Grade: C-.
