- NBC got a nice bounce-back from America's Got Talent after its relatively soft rating from the previous night. The show faced basically no resistance from the other broadcasters, but things will ramp up next week as Gordon Ramsay comes to town.
- The CW's summer of originals did not exactly roar out of the gate, although I guess you can at least say The Catalina premiered to about 300,000 more viewers than earlier CW debuts from The LA Complex and Remodeled. Meanwhile, Complex wrapped up its first run on an above-average note and is for some reason reportedly returning for 13 more season one episodes later in the summer.
- The one-hour finale of Cougar Town was also up in its last airing before the upcoming move to TBS.
- Got Talent managed to tie night two of History's remarkable Hatfields & McCoys (13.127m, 3.7 A18-49) for demo leadership. Game 2 of TNT's NBA Western Conference Finals (3.2) lagged a bit behind but still crushed most of the broadcasters.
