While CBS has run original episodes of Flashpoint early on in the last couple summers, their last series premiere in the early summer was another scripted offering, Swingtown (June 5, 2008). That one started fairly promisingly but faded significantly. CBS also failed with its last dog reality show, as Greatest American Dog couldn't really get anything going in the summer of 2008. They'll try to buck both those trends with tonight's premiere of Dogs in the City.

TNT | DALLAS | 6/13 | NEW |
A couple eleventh-hour corrections on Wednesday as an NBC presser reports Got Talent returning to its typical Tuesday/Wednesday arrangement in the second week of July (and it also has a Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday week at the end of June). But the real 9/8c intrigue is the drama matchup, as USA pits its biggest drama of last summer against the darling of TNT's development. I'm not exactly sure what to expect out of the continuation of the iconic 1980s series, but I'm pretty sure TNT is looking for big things.

Cedric the Entertainer will headline TV Land's first original sitcom hour in the Hot In Cleveland era that's not anchored by Betty White and friends. At this point, Hot In Cleveland's ratings have dropped enough that this is probably worth trying.
