Though the glut of music competitions has taken an enormous toll on the veteran players in that space, the new ones just keep hitting. Eventually, it seems like that's gonna have to end. Will tonight's Duets premiere officially signal an over-saturation or yet another hit?

I'm not gonna pick against Big Brother, which has amazingly grown for each of the last three summers. I'm guessing that streak finally comes to an end, but it should still hold off Wipeout and the rest. It'll be interesting to see if Wipeout can turn it around this summer after getting a bit of a hiatus in the spring this time. A big lead-in from Duets wouldn't hurt.

Hard to pick a winner here. Awkward picked up huge steam in the second half of season one, but it's probably gonna come down to its lead-in. Rookie Blue is likely to have generally better lead-ins than Expedition Impossible provided for most of last summer. And Suits can't be counted out either.
