- The last original Wednesday of the year for ABC's lineup didn't exactly thrill. The shows were all up around 10% from their last episodes, but they were also uniformly down from their last "normal" airings three weeks ago. Modern Family was at least a half point weaker than any previous "normal" result this season. Similarly, Up All Night rallied big from its last ep on Thanksgiving Eve but was still below average. Thankfully for that show, this was its last episode on Wednesday.
- On Fox, week two of I Hate My Teenage Daughter predictably took a big dip against what was basically full-fledged competition (after facing very little on premiere night). I actually think it could've been even worse considering The X Factor was also down, but it's not like Teenage Daughter was on solid ground to begin with.
- With its upward adjustment in finals, I feel I should mention what was a big spike to wrap up an otherwise dreadfully-rated season of America's Next Top Model. It was not just an outright season high but also the highest non-The Vampire Diaries number on the entirety of the network since the Ringer and The Secret Circle premieres nearly three months ago. And yet it was still down 27% year-to-year!
