- Fox went with the 2nd Annual American Country Awards, which made nice strides on last year's weak inaugural event (1.5). Though this show's drawn some flak for being Fox's attempt to shoehorn its way into the country music game, this trend would suggest it's starting to work somewhat.
- ABC gave Castle its second (and, it appears, final) crappy lead-in test of the season, and it doubled the ratings of major bomb You Deserve It. The Castle number was an outright season low but still a little better than the 1.9 it pulled in its crappy lead-in test of last year after Skating with the Stars.
- Earlier in the ABC evening, the network had enduring classic A Charlie Brown Christmas leading into the first run of the sequel to 2009 special Prep & Landing, called Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice. Its ratings were much weaker than what the original Prep & Landing (4.1) got in its first run a couple years ago.
