- Perhaps for the first time since I've started doing this, we lead with the CW! It was a fairly mediocre start for the CW's much-hyped Ringer. That was even with the A18-49 premieres of eventually modest-rated Hellcats and Life Unexpected and behind most other recent CW premieres. In their W18-34 target (1.6), Ringer trailed almost all recent scripted offerings (2009 megabomb The Beautiful Life: TBL excepted). Not a particularly positive start.
- Also returning to the CDub was 90210, even with last year's premiere and up a tick from last year's finale.
- As usual, finale week of America's Got Talent has big benefits starting on Tuesday, as the show hit its highest number since July 12. Leading out was the season three premiere of Parenthood, which lost 19% of last season's post-Talent premiere rating and dropped big from Talent.
- ABC also went original on the evening starting with the Tuesday finale of Wipeout, the ultimate "people can't tell if it's original or repeat" program. They followed with two-hour special Jacqueline Kennedy: In Her Own Words, which did modestly in the demo but had a lot of 50+ appeal.
