WHAT MATTERS:
- ABC eked out a victory thanks to three hours of Bachelor Pad, which plummeted from the prelims due to NFL preemptions. It finished even with last week but up a tick from last season's finale. It was a solid second season for the show and it should be back next summer.
- Hell's Kitchen is limping to the finish, down another three ticks after losing two last week. The finale is next week against a host of broadcast premieres. Good luck.
- NBC's Miss Universe Pageant got its lowest ratings ever.
- Airing its first original programming in a whooping 115 days, the CW had specials Gaga by Gaultier and The CW 2011 Fall Preview Special, which definitely exceeded recent reruns on the night but didn't exactly get the CW fall off to a roaring start.
