Let's take a look at the 2011 season (the tenth and final overall) of Law & Order: Criminal Intent on USA.
Spring/summer 2011 low/average/high: 0.9/1.04/1.4
Rating the Ratings: The move back to Sunday 9/8c (where Criminal Intent spent most of its NBC run) definitely benefited Law & Order: CI's final season. The season kicked off with a big 1.4 demo, much higher than any result from season nine (the only full season without Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe), and ultimately the show settled down at slightly better numbers than what most of season nine pulled. The season was up 18% from its season nine average overall. Though there was often no clear advantage for the Goren/Eames episodes of CI back when the two teams were alternating episodes, it seems the promise of one last season with that team back on the case helped. But I won't give the season incredibly high marks because its average still lagged behind the last couple seasons with Goren and Eames. Grade: B+.
