WHAT MATTERS:
- It was all Fox on this Monday thanks to the two-hour finale of MasterChef. Like with Hell's Kitchen, this show gets its two-hour episodes credited as two separate one-hour episodes, so the 9:00 edition (2.9) was technically the night's top program (though the two-hour average slightly trailed America's Got Talent (2.8)). That episode was also technically up 45% from last year's 2.0 finale, though that was more like 25-30% when comparing these two hours with last year's two hours (which counted as one episode). Still a nice gain and a great finish for a season that started way down year-to-year and ended up close to even overall.
- Though the aforementioned Got Talent (2.8) had the evening's best average rating for one program, it did lose another two ticks week-to-week as its steep declines from earlier in the season continue. It's now 30% below its Tuesday numbers of just five weeks ago!
- After getting two weeks with an original Wipeout lead-in, ABC's Take the Money and Run (1.4) took a huge week three drop with Wipeout back into repeats and heavier-than-usual competition at 9:00.
Above based on FINAL adults 18-49 ratings unless otherwise noted.
