Spotted Ratings, Thursday 8/18/11 (FINALS)

WHAT MATTERS:

• Fox's nationally-televised preseason NFL game between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh (3.1) dominated the evening and was easily the season's highest-rated preseason game to date.

• On the upswing was ABC, not as hindered by preemptions this week, with Wipeout (1.9) up a half point from last week and Expedition Impossible (1.3) and Rookie Blue (1.2) each gaining back a couple tenths (but still at low numbers).

• The strong Big Brother (2.9) followed Wednesday's highest-number-in-four-years with a new season Thursday high.
